Facebook FBML Tutorial: 9 Simple Steps To Adding A FBML Tab To Your Fan Page

The Facebook FBML application is a great way to add your own website page right into Facebook. Though this may seem tricky at first, it is quite simple. This Facebook FBML tutorial will walk you through the process step by step.



1. Log into your Facebook profile and click on Manage Pages under the Account tab.

2. Click on Edit Page under your Fan Page Logo or Image.

3. By scrolling down, you should see the Static FBML application. You will find it under More Applications.

Note*If you do not see it right away, you can search by clicking Browse More.

4. Click Add to My Page in the top left-hand corner on the Static FBML page.

5. Now add the Static FBML tab to your page by clicking Add to Page.

6. Next you want to head back to your Fan Page and just beneath your logo or image, once more click the Edit Page button. This is the same as in Step 2. Now you will find an FBML page under your Applications. Click on Edit.

7. Fill out your tab title where you see Box Title. Paste your html code in the FBML Box. Click Save Changes.

If you use a WordPress blog, you can easily create a page in WordPress, and click the HTML tab to get the html code you need to add into your Facebook FBML page. If you are getting your opt-in box from your autoresponder, use the raw html code.

8. Now head back once more to your Fan Page, and click again on Edit Page. Scroll down to Wall Settings and click Edit.

9. Change the Default Landing Tab through the drop down menu for Everyone Else. In the menu you should see your FBML tab. Once you choose your Facebook FBML tab, new visitors will land there when coming to your Fan Page.
